AMSTERDAM
International School Strategic Enrolment Institute

Enrolment is often treated as a set of operational tasks: processing applications, scheduling interviews, issuing offers. Schools that understand the power of strategic thought, realize enrollment is something deeper: it is where mission, community, finances, and the lived experience of families intersect.

The Strategic Enrolment Institute by SAGE invites admissions and enrolment leaders to step beyond daily operations and explore the deeper questions behind their work.

Over three days, participants will engage in practical workshops, strategic conversations, and collaborative learning designed to strengthen enrolment leadership across international schools.

Learning Objectives

STRATEGIC ENROLMENT PROGRAM

The Strategic Enrolment program provides a comprehensive foundation for admissions and enrolment professionals in international schools to understand and strengthen the strategic role of enrolment within the life of a school community. Focused on developing practical frameworks that support both daily admissions work and long-term institutional planning, the program explores key elements such as defining the ideal student profile, mapping the parent journey from inquiry to enrolment, and understanding how enrolment practices shape the culture and sustainability of a school.

Participants will be guided through approaches to interpreting enrolment data with greater clarity, connecting numbers with the context that gives them meaning, and building consistent practices for enrolment reporting and projections. The course also explores the role of artificial intelligence in enrolment management, including practical uses for improving communication, supporting reporting processes, and strengthening efficiency while maintaining thoughtful human oversight.

In addition, participants will examine the relational dimension of enrolment work, including conducting meaningful parent meetings, navigating difficult conversations with empathy and clarity, and supporting neurodivergent applicants and their families through transparent and values-aligned admissions practices. The program also introduces the concept of positive transitions-care, helping admissions professionals understand how they can support families entering and leaving school communities in ways that strengthen belonging and continuity.

Throughout the program, participants will also engage in joint sessions with colleagues from business management and human resources institutes, creating opportunities to think across operational areas that often function in isolation within schools.

The Strategic Enrolment program equips participants with practical tools, reflective frameworks, and strategic insights that can be applied immediately within their own school context.

Upon finishing the course, participants will be awarded a certificate that outlines the key areas of learning covered.
