About the Role
The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for the overall management of matters relating to Finance and Accounting, Purchasing, Business Operations (e.g., contracts, legal matters, risk management), Facilities Management, Human Resources, and Technology. The role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective leadership and direct supervision/management of key personnel in those areas.
Requirements
10-15 years as a Director of Finance/CFO in a medium sized organization; COO experience preferred.
Successful implementation of major change management initiatives.
10+ years of supervisory experience with a team of 5-7 senior leaders.
Experience overseeing major organizational projects including construction of facilities.
Key participant in strategic planning processes.
Experience with endowments.
Experience working in an educational institution preferred.
